Working Over Time!

So it has been absolutely insane for me with work. But I did find some time off last weekend to celebrate my sister's, Lindsey, 26th Birthday!

We were supposed to go up to Edmonton on Friday night for our yearly staff party but thanks to Joe we saved ourselves from risking our lives. The roads were horrible and good thing Joe called and told us about the road closure or we would have been sleeping on the highway! So we stayed home and got to go Christmas shopping and hang out with the family, which isn't such a loss in my eyes. So Lindsey and my Dad got here at around 5:00 and we met up at Joey Tomato's in Eue Claire. It was good to be there for Lindsey and celebrate with her. That night we took some more pictures of Lindsey for her CD that she is working on. Good luck Lindsey, I know you can do it!

The fam stayed over night and left early in the morning.
So back to work I go. I can't believe how much this photography business has grown just in the last 3-4 months. I don't know if it's just because it's right before Christmas or what! I am really enjoying it, but for the longest time just couldn't catch up. Well let me announce, I have finally caught up and now am ahead of myself. The last time I could say that was, well, probably 6 months ago. Yay! But I still find myself in front of the computer trying to get more photos done early for my clients in time for Christmas. As I work this is what I find the rest of the household doing!

Lucky!! I WISH.. Can't wait for Christmas Holidays. Thank you to all my clients, it has been an absolute blast meeting all of you and I look forward to what the new year will bring!

Family Pictures

So I have been thinking a lot lately about doing family pictures, cuz Brad and I have absolutely no pictures of ourselves in our entire house. Pretty sad I know, especially since I am a photographer. So I drug Brad and Skeeter out with me to attempt to get a good picture. I had a really good idea to go to an old abandoned house, but once we got there it was a little iffy so we decided to just go out to Brad's parents house and use their old torn down barns and fences. They turned out pretty good given we had to use the tripod. Finally a few pictures of ourselves, I'm actually really excited about this.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. Brad is absolutely everything I could ever ask for. Sure we get in our little tiffs but I'm pretty sure every couple has. We have been through so much together and he is always there to encourage me and strengthen me. He really believes in me and always compliments me on my successes. He is truly the reason I am where I am today. I can sometimes be a hard person to please or even live with at times and Brad has always stood by me and has had great patience.

Brad I am absolutely in love with you and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Skeeter, our dog, has been a great addition to our family. We got her about a year ago, when she was just 3 months. I don't remember what it was like without her. It's so great to come home to someone that has unconditional love toward you. She is always so happy to see us and is just so dang cute. I know, I know I am one of those crazy dog people, but at least I can admit to it. She has really helped Brad and I through a lot as well. Brad and I just think she is just the cutest dang dog in the whole world.

Here is our little family after 4 years and 2 months of being married. Hopefully we can add a baby soon!!

Halloween Party

So I thought that because Brad and I kinda boycoted Halloween last year, we would have to go all out this year. We decided to throw a Halloween Party! We used our outfits that we bought for last years halloween because we never got to use them. So we were Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf. Brad hated his costume and comlpained that I always put him in the goofy costume and I get to wear the cute ones. As he was Homer Simpson 2 years ago and I was Marge, but that's another story. Anyways we decided to invite a few friends and we had a pretty good turn out. We had Barack and Michelle Obama, a Witch and Rockstar, Wizard, Ninja, Spiderman, and Surgeon, Michael Ignatieff and his wife, a little lion, Prego Pumpkin, and Ed! Oh and of course we had Skeeter dressed up as a pumkin.

It was fun to have everyone together and enjoy eating, visiting, and playing games and getting to know everyone a little bit better( Maybe a little to well!) So I decided to go all out on the food. I made chessey fingers, Spooky Spider Eggs, Jack-O-Lantern Mexican Dip, Bloody Jello, and Black Punch with an Ice hand in it. Brad was quite creative and was a great help to me. He created a goblin with meatballs and chicken wings. He also decorated the front entrance with a hanging man from our chandelier(the kids didn't seem to like that so much).

Thanks to everyone for coming out and enjoying the night! I was impressed that everyone dressed up.

Trip to Visit Stacy and the Fam

I had so much fun going to visit with my sister and her family. She just had a baby on March 7 and I went to help her out a week after she had baby Talmage. It was fun to be a mother for a week although the girls sure wore me out. I wasn't used to waking up at 7:00am (5:00 am our time) everyday, getting breakfast on the table than cleaning everything up, playing until lunch and then making some luch then playing again and then dinner and clean up. Kids sure keep you going. It was so fun though Seeing the girls faces everytime I turned into Darth Vador, as we were playing starwars, or just tickling them like crazy. I think I will just take one kid at a time as I start having kids. Lilli and Isabellla have sure grown since last time I saw them. Isabella has her own little personality and I have just fallin so in love wtih that little girl. Every morning she would come in and say "I have to go pee pee really bad!" than I would take her in to go to the bathroom and then we would go back into my room and cuddle. What a sweetie. LIlli is such a character. She is always singin or dancing or thinking of some new pretend game that we can play. She is so beautiful and such a silly girl, Whenever I would wash my face she would ask, "Are you not wearing any make up?"
Me- "No Lilli, is that kinda scary"
Lilli,"Yah you should put some on"
Me-"Why"
Lilli-"So you can look styling!"
She is such a girl and must always be wearing a dress or skirt.
They were both such good helpers and big sisters with there new brother. They would always want to hold him or get his binkie or just help in any way. Well as you can tell I had such a blast with them. Stacy and JOsh you sure did good!
Congratulations on your first boy, Talmage is so dang cute, I just love holding him. I can't wait to have my own little one!

On Saturday, Stacy and I went out to get our nails done and go out to dinner. Well my nails lasted about an hour! haha! And now they are just a big mess, I guess that is what happens when you clean all day. Oh well it was fun while it was happening. My pedicure is still good!

One day we went to the park and fed the geese. The girls sure loved that. That was until the geese got to close, that wasn't too much fun for me or the girls. I thought they were gonna attack me but thankfully we got away

Thanks again I had so much fun I love you all so much!XOXOXO

My Young Womens

Recently I have been called to serve in the young womens. I'm not gonna lie I was quite scared when I was first called but like most calling you know that you will be blessed and that the lord will help you in feeling confident. Well I have been in there a few months now and I am really starting to enjoy it. The girls are just so full of personality and just happy to be there. They remind me so much of what I was like at there age. Recently I had the opportunity of planning a class activity for the girls so I decided to have them over to my house for a photo shoot. As soon as they got down stairs they saw all the props and dress ups and went crazy they had so much fun just trying on lots of stuff and goofing off. There personalities are totally expressed through these pictures. What a bunch of great girls. I'm so happy I can be part of their lives and hopefully have a good impact on them.

Christmas Time

I know it's late but I thought I would write a little about my Christmas to at least say I did it. Well Christmas was so great. We had the great privelage of having Shannan and Josh and there very cute new baby James stay with us for a little more than a week right before Christmas. Josh worked for us for a week and Shannan took care of James and always had dinner ready for when we got home and the house all tidy. Brad and I both enjoyed that Brad maybe a bit more as he rarely ever gets that, that should be my new years resolution, but I don't know if I could fulfill it. One day maybe. It was great to have them here and I am so excited as they may be moving here. On Dec 23 we all went to my parent house and spent about a week and a half there. It was so fun to be together as a family and enjoy the laughter and love we share with one another. We sure did miss Stacy, Josh, Lilli, and Isabella there. But we were able to talk to them over webcam so thank goodness for technology. On Christmas Eve we did the regular tradition of caroling and having a Christmas program. Then we got to open our gifts from the elves that are pjs every year.

Christmas day was full of opening presents laying around and just eating Alot! We are know ready for disaster for we got 72 hour kits and some supplies for emergencies. The rest of the holidays was spent together going shopping, making gingerbread houses, watching movies and just being together. It is so great that we can all be together as a family at these times of the year. I just wish we all lived closer so we could have these gathering more often. Good thing for transportation. I just love my family and look up to every single one of my siblings and I am happy that Christmas brings us all that much closer.
