Today I got to do my first family photo shoot. We had Brad's cousin, Kristin and Dwight and their little girl brielle, over. They are such a cute family and very photogenic. Kids are alot harder to shoot because they are so curious about everything going on around them, but I got some pretty good shots. She is so adorable!

Maternity photoshoot

Today I got to do my first maternity photoshoot. It was so fun and Lisa and Brad were such a great looking couple. SO cute. Here are a few of the shots.

Practise in My Studio

So lately I've found that I have a real passion for photography. I've decided to get a little more into it and I start some classes in the beginning of June. I'm really excited and have been practising alot. Brad even bought me a few lights and some backgrounds. So I now have a nice little studio in my basement. It's been so much fun. I need models though and I have a hard time finding some. I guess I haven't been looking too much. But this evening I got some new lights and had to try them out, so I got Mike to model for me. What a good looking kid.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

We feel so blessed to have two great Mother's that that have been such an example to us in our lives. It is so nice to have two loving mothers who live so close to us. We enjoy so much being able to visit with them and build such strong relationships with them. My mom has always been my best friend, I may not have shown it in my earlier years, but I have always looked up to her for advice. She has always been there for me, what a selfless person she is. She is always thinking of the next person she can help. She is so understanding and can really help solve any problem. She has always taught me how important the gospel is in her life, this has really helped with my testimony as I grew up, because she was so strong. We are just so grateful for her in our lives. What a wonderful women she is.
Brads mother is also such a great women. I am so thankful to her for raising Brad the way she did, He is such a great husband and I know it is because of the love of his mother, the relationship they had, raising him in the gospel and the great example she was to him. Our relationship has continued to grow the more I get to know her and the great spirit she has. She has really done alot for us as we have been married and gave us some great advice. We are so blessed to live so close to her. We always enjoy the Sunday dinners she puts on and the great food she makes up for us. It is always delicious and we never leave hungry. What another great women to have in our lives to call Mom.
Thank you both for being in our lives and having raised us to be who we are today. We love you both so much.

Honestly, Only In Calgary

All I can say is " ARE YOUR KIDDING ME!" Its May and this is what you get to look forward to when you go outside. This is just absolutely ridiculous. Today has been crazy. First rain, than hail, frozen rain, and now snow. During the day as we were driving around it was crazy to see the weather change so fast after just finishing up cleaning one house. We would go into one house when it was raining(misting) and come out an hour later to hail. Then hail to clearing up. It would change every hour. And it just continued to get worse. On the drive home today everything was clearing up. I thought it would be gone and nice for tomorrow. Well I think I'm wrong on that one. Just before going to bed tonight, I look out the window and this is what I see!

Please someone remind me why I'm still living here! IT'S MAY for heaven sakes.
